First Birthday Dinner Party! – Hot Ginger Radio Show #38

This week, to commemorate a year since of the birth of Hot Ginger’s retro nights at The Cross in Moseley, we decided to record the show during a celebratory dinner party. Stephen, Kerstin, Andy and Lorna cracked open a couple of bottles of wine and cooked up some delicious treats to complement the sweet sounds of swing. The recording could have been a disaster, but we think it went rather spiffingly.

We also included an interview with Anna and Tony from AYD Balboa in Gloucester. Visit their site for more details on Balboa and the classes and workshops they are running: www.aydbalboa.co.uk

Sex and drugs and jelly roll! – Hot Ginger Radio Show #30

Our first radio show to come with a content warning. Today, Andy and Lorna present a selection of the rudest and most controversial songs from the Roaring 20s, Dirty 30s, Naughty 40s and Shifty 50s.

Every track contains coded (and sometimes not so coded) references to either sex or getting tremendously high on drugs. We’ve got double entendres, single entendres and euphemisms galore. Big ones! So send the kids outside and get a load of this…
