Get your Hot Ginger 2011 year planner!

Yes, it’s here at last, a glorious new flyer listing the entire Hot Ginger itinerary for 2011. So you can put every single swingin’ date in your diary for the entire year and start planning those outfits!

Pete from Digit64 has done another sterling job on the design, this time using photos from previous Hot Ginger nights featuring some of you looking mighty swell.

As you can see, we’re putting on a few favourites from last year, so there will be a Prohibition Party in March and an Hawaiian Hula in June.

We’ve also got a couple of WW2 themed nights with our Blitz Ball in May and the Home Front Hop in October.

And we’re excited about the French swing night in July (anyone who listened to our French Swing Special on the radio will know what that’s all about) and a Weimar Berlin-themed night in September (just think Cabaret!).

Then we’ve got a Spring ball in April, and we close the year with our second birthday party and our Swingin’ Xmas bash.

And the whole thing kicks off on 12 February with our Hollywood Romance Party, featuring live swing by Intent On Jazz – our first ever live band! (there will definitely be more – just check the posters when they come out).

So that’s ten superb swing parties throughout 2011.

Remember that the flyer gets you £1 off the entry fee, so make sure you get one and bring it with you.

It’s available at the usual outlets throughout Moseley and Kings Heath and we’ve got events around the region taking stacks too, so you’ll find it in most swing outlets.

See you at all our parties!

Let’s make it a year to remember.

New retro for this Autumn…

Unveiled at the Hawaiian Hula last week to great acclaim, it’s the all new Hot Ginger flyer showing our upcoming Autumn dates. Yes, we’re very early with this one (mainly because on the back it has a lovely ad for the Hot Ginger Radio Show which we’re going to be putting about all over the summer).

It will be making an appearance in all the usual Birmingham outlets, so make sure you get your hands on one because it still gets you that discount entry to Hot Ginger nights and, well, it’s another work of art in its own right designed by Pete Bradbury at Digit64.

So what have we got lined up for you in our Autumn season?

We’re kicking things off on the 9 October with a MAD MEN PARTY, celebrating the styles of the late 50s from our favourite TV show. Then it’s our FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY on 13 November, followed quickly by our second SWINGIN’ XMAS PARTY on 11 December.

Lots of goodies lined up for you and we’re currently looking at including a few special events to make them a little bit different to the Hot Gingers you’ve been to before. Stay tuned for more info as it happens!

Banish those winter blues with a little Hot Ginger!

Yes we’re back for an action packed 2010, announcing five new dates for Hot Ginger!

As you can see from the glorious new flyer (another sterling work of art from Pete atdigit64, and available at selected outlets within the next week) we’ve got five special nights coming up to banish the blues and see us through to the summer.

We’re kicking off with our Retromance Party on February 13th.

It’s Valentine’s Weekend and we’re all about the retromance, as you know, so put on your vintage best, pucker up and find romance on the dance floor to music from the 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s… or catch someone’s eye over a cocktail or three.

It’s going to be de-wonderful.

And make sure you put these dates in your diary too:

March 13th: Prohibition Party
April 10th: Easter Hop
May 8th: VE Day Knees Up
June 5th: Hawaiian Hula

Lots of costume ideas there for you!

See you on the 13th Feb!

Grand Opening Night

Yes, at long last, exactly one year after our infamous Blitz Party, we’re back with a regular night of retro style and dance.

Hot Ginger will be Upstairs at The Cross in Moseley, Birmingham on the first Saturday of every month and the Grand Opening Night is Saturday 7 November.

It’s only £3 if you come with the flyer (yes, just click on the image, print it off and bring it with you) or it’s £4 on the door.

We’ve also got a couple of drinks promotions: Spitfire ale at £2 a bottle and there will also be a cocktail special on the night (we haven’t decided which one yet) for just £3.

So don your best vintage outfit and hotfoot it over for a night of retro style, retro dance, retromance.
