Well, what an amazing opening night we had! The Hot Ginger team were over the moon at the response from you all.
Not only did we have 110 people through the door, but you came from all over Birmingham and as far afield as Coventry, Wolverhampton and even one couple who’d come all the way from Newport to check us out. Pretty great for an opening night, and it can only get bigger and better.
Not only that but you all wore some snazzy vintage clobber and wanted to dance all night. It was great to see girls dancing on their own when there were no leaders available and even people who’d never learned a single Lindy or Balboa step in their lives just hit the dance floor and give it a go.
We were really keen to make the night as accessible as possible to people outside the swing scene and the fact that so many of you felt comfortable enough to give it a go and were asking about classes shows we got the mood just right (see below for links to local dance classes, by the way).
